Ceremony details

I can’t believe I am finally writing this post! It’s been a long time coming but it is finally here! We received our wedding day gallery last week and it got me thinking, how in the world do I share all these AMAZING photos and details on here?! So I asked ya’ll on @thefulltimebride instagram and about 98% voted to split up the posts, so here we go!!

Our ceremony! It turned out even more beautiful than I imagined and I could not believe that this was OUR ceremony! The planning and deciding was so well worth it, especially to see it all come together.

Unplugged Ceremony: We decided to have an unplugged ceremony and I think about 75% of our guests actually “unplugged”. It was a nice touch to have the sign in place but nothing I went crazy about when I did see the phones out lol.

Mirrored and acrylic signage: The love story and “guest book” sign were in mirrors while the unplugged ceremony and card box were acrylic. I LOVE BOTH ELEMENTS!! I was trying to find a balance of having some signs in mirrors and others in acrylic. The mirrors gave it that extra “luxe” feel while the acrylic complimented it by making the details feel more modern and clean. I had a hard time finding all mirrored mirrors so mixing in the acrylic helped me not stress about it and it turned out amazing. We also kept the same theme for the picture frames. We framed several of our photos from our engagement sessions and displayed them throughout the wedding.

Guestbook: I spent so much time looking for ideas for a guestbook, I didn’t necessarily want a book, and then I finally came across the champagne bottle idea!!! I saw this on pinterest and of course fell in love. As the sign read, every guest signed their name on the bottle and on our anniversary we will “pop” the bottle and celebrate. Because I knew we would have enough guests to sign 1 full bottle, we decided to buy 2, so I am thinking we will keep the second bottle for our 10 year anniversary 🙂

Champagne Shelves: Ok this was one of my favorite things from the ceremony. I saw this on pinterest (again) lol. Champagne shelves!! How fabulous! So my thought behind this was to have our guests greeted with a glass of champagne as they entered the ceremony area. We have been to many weddings to know that it wont start at the exact time on the dot and also we usually get there early to not miss anything, well in that case we just end up sitting there while we wait so I thought, how amazing would it be to at least have our friends and family sip on something bubbly as they wait! We hired a shuttle service to bring everyone to the venue so due to there being multiple runs going, I was guaranteed to have a group of guests there early enough that they definitely could enjoy the champagne. The weather was a little chilly so this worked out to have the champagne served ahead of time and it wouldn’t get hot.

Party time confetti: This was a last minute add on but it occurred to me to have something like flower petals or confetti thrown at us as we walked down the aisle after we said I do! I was imagining how fun and pretty the pictures and video would look so I got on etsy and found this cute set of confetti bags. We ordered 40 bags so that only the people on the edge of the aisles would throw the confetti. We figured that the person on the complete other end of the row wouldn’t even reach us with confetti so it would have been a waste.

Ceremony decor: Our venue has this beautiful ceremony space that really felt like a blank canvas. We decided if we wanted draping or not, or what type of draping style. I initially had 3 chandeliers for the altar but 2 of them broke so thankfully we still had the middle one. We had 2 acrylic stands holding these 2 beautiful all white flower arrangements. Lastly, the aisle had a row of white petals on each side!

I am so thankful for my team of vendors that helped putting my vision together and if you are in the Houston area, you have to check them out! I will continue listing all the vendors that apply for each post 🙂
