Shopping for all my accessories was seriously so much fun! Especially knowing that they would give me such a fun memory to look back, such as maybe wearing my wedding day earrings on a date night, or even smelling my wedding day perfume and taking me back that day. So today’s post I am sharing all my details! Thankfully my photographer did such an amazing job at capturing them that it made it too easy to share.
THE DRESS: Let’s start by talking about THE DRESS! My wedding dress was exactly what I envisioned and more. I said yes to the dress on my second appt after trying on plenty of dresses at the first place I went to. From day 1 I knew I wanted a mermaid dress or something fitted but I decided to keep an open mind and try on different styles. I will save more on that for a post on all the other dresses I tried on. Anyways, my dress designer is Randy Fenoli from Say Yes to the Dress. As a lover of SYTTD, I was soooooo excited to try on one of his gowns, and when I tried it on, it gave me all the bridal feels in the world! So magical, I loved how I felt, how I looked and knew my husband would too! A cool feature of my dress was that it had this removable lining in the bodice so if I wanted the mesh to be see through I could wear it that way, or if I wanted to not show too much skin, I could take it off.
THE VEIL: When I said yes to the dress I tried on a veil with the horsehair trim as well and I loved it, I couldn’t imagine a different look, but with being so overwhelmed that day, I decided to wait on the veil to make sure that is what I wanted, well lucky for me about 2 months later, the same boutique had a veil sale! So I went back for the beautiful style of veil.
THE SHOES: Oh my, the shoes. I went soooo back and forth on the shoes, I didn’t know if I wanted comfort or glam, designer or not designer, etc. I decided on a beautiful pair of Badgley Mishcka flats because I knew either ways that I wanted a pair of glam flats for when I got tired of the heels. Then I found my perfect wedding day shoes and knew those were it! I loved the sparkle and simplicity of the color, The heel itself was so perfect and I mean, who can resist a pair of Choos. #TreatYoSelf
THE GARTER: AMAZON YALL. lol I debated on this one for awhile, I got an etsy and they had sooooo many to choose from that it just got so overwhelming, I ordered the garter set a month before the wedding and at that point I was over it and ready to just check the item off my list. I am so glad I went with the amazon one because it is really one of those things were I can’t really reuse it unlike my wedding day jewelry. Splurge somewhere else in this case 🙂
THE JEWELRY: I went the Kendra Scott route for my earrings, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the style of earrings, the perfect amount of glam and they were actually not heavy which was a huge win! I felt like the earrings did not take away from the top of my dress and still sparkled through my hair being down. Pro-tip: I got mine during my birthday month (about 9 months before the wedding LOL) but I was able to get them for 50% off with the birthday discount. For my bracelet and necklace I chose to go with something super dainty and the best part is that they were both gifts. My grandmother gave me the mrs. necklace for christmas and one of my bridesmaids gave me the bracelet as part of her wedding day gift when I was a bridesmaid in her wedding.
THE PERFUME: I love perfumes so much so of course I wanted to splurge and get something new for the wedding. I chose this Tom Ford scent, and I couldn’t have been happier, reminds me of an amazing coconut drink/beach setting!
THE NAILS: I went with an all white iridescent look for my nails. I thought it was super fun and sparkled so pretty in person. Of course I did the all white on my toes as well.
Alright that’s it for today! Thanks for reading this weeks post 🙂 Til next time!
