Hello again! It’s Sydney and I wanted to do a day by day recap of my bachelorette party in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Hopefully you find this post helpful if you’re a Maid of Honor planning activities or if you’re a bride researching bachelorette destinations. Let’s start the post!
Day 1: We all arrived at the airport around 7:30 AM for our 10:00 AM flight. We wanted to get there a little early to allow time to go through security and to have time to grab some breakfast tacos & margaritas at Pappasitos! I had some surprise goodie bags for all of my girls to open at the airport. I included a personalized tumbler, an airport headband, mini liquor bottles, a reflective visor, a bendy straw, some sunglasses, and a bag of essentials (makeup remover wipes, dry shampoo, pony tails, chapstick, Advil, & Tums). We finally boarded our plane & landed in Puerto Vallarta and took a shuttle to our resort at Riu Vallarta. After settling into our rooms, we went to the pool to relax until dinner time. We got ready for dinner/the club and had dinner at the resort buffet. FOOD HEAVEN! We ended our first night at the night club at the resort and we had SO much fun!
Room Decor: Also on the first day, the girls surprised me by decorating my room. Here are some pictures of that! It’s all in the details!
Day 2: On our second day, we got up pretty early and headed to breakfast. The girls had planned a surprise for me so all I knew was that we were leaving the resort. After about a 15 minute taxi ride, we arrive at Vallarta Adventures. The girls had arranged a 6 hour sail on a sailboat! EK! I was so excited because this is something I so desperately wanted to do on this trip. The sail included snacks, lunch, & DRINKS! During the sail, we got to go to the most beautiful beach and the boat actually had a photographer that took pictures of us that we bought. Once our sail was over, we headed back to the resort, went to the pool, got some snacks, and headed back up to our room to get ready for the night. We went to dinner at a beautiful French restaurant called Sir George at the resort with lots of wine and champagne. After dinner, we walked to the sister resort to try their night club out. It was SO much fun & packed!
Day 3: On our last full day in Puerto Vallarta we got to sleep in, hallelujah! We got a late breakfast by the beach and the girls had a scavenger hunt set up for me. This kept us busy all day trying to complete all of the tasks on the list, not to mention it was hilarious! We spent some time at the beach having a photoshoot (Kourtney Kardashian style) and then walked around the resort trying to complete things on the scavenger hunt list. We then headed to the pool and participated in some activities that the resort was hosting at the pool. Let’s just say, I’m awful at soccer! After many hours at the pool and many Banana Mama’s (YUM!), we headed back to the room to get ready for dinner. While I was showering, the girls were setting up a surprise lingerie shower for me in my room! OMG, it was so funny seeing what they got me and guessing who bought what! Always make the bride try at least one piece on 😉 For dinner, we went to Steakhouse Flamingo on the beach! The resort had the most beautiful dinner waiting for us with bottles of champagne and rosé! This was the most magical night. After dinner we headed out for a night out on the town. We took a taxi ride to the city and partied at Mandala! After a long night, we took a taxi back to the resort and hit the hay.
Our trip home: Our last day there we got up, packed our bags and headed to breakfast. After breakfast, the resort had a shuttle waiting to take us to the airport. I had an escalator/luggage FAIL. After we got through security, we got some much needed lunch and boarded our plane back to Texas. I think we all passed out on the plane ride home.
Although we had so much fun on the trip, I couldn’t wait to get home to my pups & my fiancé. I am so entirely grateful that I had such an amazing group of girls willing to travel so far for me and make my bachelorette so special. These are memories that I will cherish forever!
P.S. When I got home, my fiancé had flowers and my favorite candies waiting for me. Hashtag BLESSED!
